Silvestre wants Arsenal exit

Silvestre wants Arsenal exitIt is reported that central defender Mikael Silvestre has become fed up with Arsene Wenger and he wants to quit Arsenal.

Despite a respectable number of appearances last season, Silvestre is now just playing a marginal role at Arsenal.

The signing of Thomas Vermaelen has seen Silvestre move down in Wenger's pecking order and the 32-year old Frenchman is very unhappy about that. So unhappy that he has decided to leave the Gunners next summer, according to The Mirror.

With Philippe Senderos loaned out at Everton, Silvestre was expecting to be on the bench in the league game against Liverpool last Wednesday. But instead of him, Sol Campbell and Armand Traoré were named in the match squad. It is said that the Frenchman reacted furiously in front of his team-mates when he heard the news.

It is now even more frustrating that he had rejected the interest from Paris Saint-Germain in the most recent transfer window, as he was expecting to still be an important member of Arsene Wenger's squad.
