With the transfer deadline on Monday evening getting closer and closer, Arsenal are mentioned in relation to a huge number of players. These rumours are the picks of what was being written today, and we will have to wait and see if and which ones are actually going to be completed in the end.

The first one being linked with Arsenal today is Hull’s Abel Hernandez. Although his reputation is not that of an all-time successful player, his current run of form has apparently caught the eye of Arsène Wenger. He came to Hull last season as the club’s biggest ever signing, but didn’t really impress with a return of just four goals in 26 appearances. However, this year he has bagged 16 goals in the same amount of appearances so far. Although the current transfer window is not closed yet, it is being said that it is the plan to sign Hernandez this summer.

Leicester youngster Ben Chilwell has been linked with Arsenal once again as it seems that Arsenal have returned with an improved offer. Arsenal already had an offer turned down for the 19-year-old. Should the left back indeed move to Arsenal it might well mean the end of his Arsenal career for Kieran Gibbs. Gibbs is already second choice behind Nacho Monreal, and has just two Premier League starts so far this season. He might be in danger of missing the European Championship with England.

Ukrainian news website Sport have claimed that Arsenal have agreed a deal for Andriy Yarmolenko. Just like the deal with Abel Hernandez, this deal will reportedly also be completed next summer. The 26-year-old has been linked with Everton as well, and if he signs for the Gunners it will definitely be a kick in the teeth for Roberto Martinez. Yarmolenko’s agent Vadim Shabily has been spotted at Goodison Park on several occassions. Dynamo Kyiv manager Sergey Rebrov certainly doesn’t want to lose Yarmolenko, who has 76 goals in 187 appearances to his name, playing for the Ukrainian giants.

Mathieu Debuchy meanwhile has voiced his discontent regarding his lack of first-team appearances, and is looking for a (temporary) way out of the Emirates. Sunderland boss Sam Allardyce has expressed his interest to add the French defender to his side, either temporarily or permanent. Debuchy is currently behind Hector Bellerin in the pecking order, and is fearing for his place in the France squad for next summer’s European Championship. However, Allardyce was quoted on Goal.com that he is unsure whether Wenger would want to sell the Frenchman.
