David Luiz Moreira Marinho is a Brazilian central defender. He joined Arsenal from Chelsea in August 2019 at the age of 32. With 524 club appearances to his name, his addition to the squad brought a lot of experience. After starting his career with Vitoria in Brazil, he moved to Benfica. Chelsea signed him from the Portuguese side in 2011. They sold him to Paris Saint-Germain three years later. At PSG, Luiz worked alongside the manager who now brought him to Arsenal; Unai Emery. Chelsea re-signed the Brazilian from PSG in 2016.
